I heart and I share

The 'Maneki Neko' teapot, handmade and made of Japanese cast iron, is not only a tool to savor your tea, it is a lot more than that...

Maneki Neko (Japanese: 招き猫), also called lucky cat, is a common Japanese symbol, representing a sitting cat raising its paw until its ear. Maneki (招き) comes from the Japanese verb maneku (招く), meaning to invite or to greet, and Neko (猫) is a cat. So literally Maneki Neko means ‘the greeting cat’. Traditionally, one of these cats with an upright paw is displayed at home to bring fortune. Maneki Nekos are found in most Japanese house.

This teapot is the opportunity for you to get lucky, while preparing your tea. As for its black color, it means ‘to bring health and to keep the malefic spirits away’.
